Prince of Persia: a LATE movie review

I finally caught Prince of Persia: The sands of time in the theatres today!!! Guess you wouldn’t imagine how elated I was!

Was intending to catch Karate Kid since I expected this movie to be removed from the big screens by now!! And even when I checked the movie time slots for Karate Kid, I merely pressed on this movie and ignored the others on the list that were showing.

Anyhow, met my sissy @ causeway point and we headed to the box office to buy our tickets. Man, the queue was extremely long, then, I remembered it was the vacations! While queuing, sissy realised that Prince of Persia was still showing! Ensuring that she was okay with this flick, we both agreed to watch it first before it gets removed! There were only 3 slots left. I WAS SO HAPPY! :]

Had been hearing too much from people who’d caught the movie earlier and I was really determined to catch it, and TA-DA I finally did today!

I AM SO LOVIN’ THE PRINCE OF PERSIA. CAN HE BE MINE??

Those who watched the movie already should know exactly which prince I’m referring to. The smart one whose really agile and all. His tactics and movements were really intelligent! THUMBS UP for the prince of persia!

MY PRINCE CHARMING!

Okay he’s not exactly extremely handsome but his brain is the one that makes him charming!!

Besides, the Princess of ________ (I can’t remember, but there’s only one princess in the show), was gorgeous too. Really really pretty, and she really got that graceful princessy-look. Awwww.

With regards to the movie, on the overall, I’d say its worth your moolahs!! Interesting story, and I didn’t expect the story to turn out that way. So I was a little surprised, and I like it. It also reminds me of what humans can do, in order to gain/get something they want. Even your closest kin can betray you, just so he gets what he wants. I guess thats reality.

I’d rate the movie 4/5!!!

PRINCE OF PERSIA♥!

(p.s.: it was really hard to find movie posters as they were all in the cartoon form! really don’t like it!)

There’s only 3 time slots left when I caught it today, so faster go watch before its gone okay!!

Today was a goodgood day. I really enjoyed my day to the maximum! Its been months since I met sissy, and we really enjoyed each other’s company today! ♥♥♥ Sissy!

THIS IS MY SISSY!♥

CUTE NOT!

:)

LAST ONE!

Besides, I joined Yvonne, Kai Wei, Koon Phi and Iyeu for a mahjong session at night, shortly after I reached home! Superrrrrrrr fun!! Yvonne and I teamed up and joined forces and we won.. RM 1 on the overall. haha! Better than losing, I guess. Thats always my motto. lol!

Improvised mahjong table!

You see that piece of blue blanket tied with a rubber band eh? It was what we used to reduce the amount of noise when we play! No proper table, no mahjong paper, NEVERMIND! I’m sure you have at least a piece of cloth at home right, and some rubber bands/rafia strings to secure it prevent it from moving! HEHEHE.

Decent looking Mahjong table yay!

See, it looks perfectly normal! And really reduces the sound quite alot!

The guys.. Koon Phi looks *serious*

No picture of the girls because we all loook chui-ed. HEHE, next time perhaps!!

My hands are itchy, I love mahjong!

Awesome day! :D

A short update!

:)

I really like the largest photo in this collage. Also obvious why I chose it to be the biggest! It looks like he’s staring at my tongue! HEHEHE. My brother is ♥. Even though he rejects me a million times when I asked him to take a photo with me, he’d still comply with my requests as and when.

you gotta love me, don't you?

Love this collage soo much! Brothers looked so cute! I love my false lashes. ♥♥♥

I have more photos with regards to my trip and I’ll update soon! Have yet to get photos from my brother’s cameras so please be patient! Its pretty hard to blog with just my photos alone because there are some missing photos here and there and I can’t complete my ‘story’.

till then!, xoxo.

Wonders how they got to me.

I’d been receiving letters from LOCAL (Malaysia) Colleges/Universities since I was nearing graduation, and still receiving them now and then.

I just received another letter from the SEGi University College and this really heightened my curiosity level.

THERE YOU GO.

The question is HOW DO THEY GET MY NAME, and ADDRESS, and know that I’ve just graduated? — My biggest question mark (?).

Thing is, I’ve been schooling in Singapore since young. To be exact, since Primary one. I’ve been educated in Singapore all along and I really wonder how they found out I just graduated from Singapore Poly. I’ve NEVER applied for local universities in Malaysia before too.

After discussing the issue with my brother, we came up with a conclusion – someone somewhere must have sold our particulars to these local universities. Brother mentioned that he had letters years back too.

Without much thoughts, in our opinions, we could only boil down the culprit to IDP Education Pty Ltd (JB, Malaysia). (I’m just saying, you don’t have to agree, or you might wanna update me about how it works in Malaysia.) It is a nation wide association that helps international students apply for Australia universities.

IDP is the number one choice for international students who study in Australia. We offer a free service all the way through the process from deciding on a course to applying for a visa to pre-departure seminars.

as quoted from their website.

IDP is the ONLY “company” that should know we graduated because both of us applied to Australia universities and they are the ones who have all our particulars, results, etc.

Do you fellow Malaysians studying in Singapore applied for Australia Universities via IDP receive letters too? Let me know!

Disclaimer:: We have no proof that IDP is definitely the culprit but like what I’ve mentioned, its highly possible, in our opinions. :)

My Favourite Photos in China!

I’m back I’m back I’m back!

Finally I can continue my habit of embracing my Blackberry (BB!).

You wouldn’t understand how much I missed my BB during the 9days trip.

My trip was awesome, fulfilling (with shopping!) but as usual, tiring! I loved the time spent with my family. The 5 of us haven’t traveled together since early this year where our destination was Vietnam for the New Year. Trips like this are excellent bonding times for all of us and I really cherish the 9 days. Though my heart was screaming all out for my BB, for Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Its been 2-3 years since my last trip to China. And I’m immensely impressed with the changes I see. I wasn’t disappointed with what I’d expected to see. Vast improvements were made, for the Beijing Olympics in 2008, as well as for the Shanghai World Expo 2010.

Of course, I was really disturbed by some of the acts of the Chinese. I believe that what I see are Chinese people from small suburbs, according to what I was told by our Tour guide. Citizens from the big cities like Shanghai are definitely more civilized. Some of the acts includes spitting on the floor (after clearing their bloody throat loudly), speaking extremely loudly across to their friends even though they are miles apart, rushing like they are catching the last boat, pushing people infront of them while queuing!!

Nevertheless, the traffic conditions had improved much in Shanghai, but in small towns, they can get quite bad. Because the laws are more enforced in big cities i believe. For instance, the zebra crossing for pedestrians in smaller cities were of no use. The cars never stopped even when the green man lights up, we had to pluck up our guts to cross and force them to stop them instead.
In one of the small towns, we actually took a ride on their motor-powered-tricycle (like tuk-tuks in Thailand) back to the hotel from somewhere, and holy, these tricycles could even take the roads in the opposite direction because our hotel was at the other side of the road where we traveled from. I actually took a thrilling video while I was on board, show you guys soon. It was scary for the first time, as we could see cars coming OUR way, but it was thrilling for the second time! Something you definitely wouldn’t experience back in Singapore!

AND AND. The highlight of my trip was.. I GOT TO CUDDLE A POMERANIAN DOGGIE!!! I gotta show you my favourite photo of the trip……….

MY FAVOURITE.

This little thing caught my eye even though it was real dark, because we were at a night market. AWESOMELY FURRY, the touch of it feels like cotton candy. *my parents are not convinced yet* If only it costed what it was in China, it’d be an easier deal for us! I WISH I COULD BRING THIS PUP BACK! I am smittened. SO HAPPY. Was grinning from ear to ear and you can’t even really see my eyes! Photo was taken using my bro’s camera, so I took a picture of it on his screen, I’ll post the original again!

Wished I wasn’t in my nerdy specs lah, to look my bestest in this picca!

HEHEHE.

WITH THE BROTHER!

HIM AGAIN!

Spent some time.. being narcissistic.

Love thyself.

:D

I’ll be back with more photos. MORE MORE! :]

I’m going homeee!!

Zomg 9 days passed like that. A tad too fast, no? Hehehe.

It’ll be our last day at Shanghai and flight back to Singapore tonight.

So many things to blog about.

Anyway our day at the expo yesterday was a futile trip. The crowd was so overwhelming. Saying that it’s at least 10x of USS is an understatement. Maybe a 100x or even 1000x. Lol.

On a hindsight, had foot massage yesterday night and it was superb! Love luxury life hehe. Which I don’t get to at home :p.

Alright. I’m actually unaware of how I feel right now. Happy that I’ll get to use facebook, Twitter etc when i get home. But at the same time dejected that holiday’s overrrrrrr. ;(((

Why time passes so fast!

My weekdays will be pretty free this week and weekends will be work. As for next week it’ll be camp during weekdays and work during weekends. I anticipate a crazy week ahead. And that’ll pretty sum up my month of June. :))
