WOOHOO! I’m feeling awesome currently because I’ve finally completed one mid-term test today!!! :)) But happiness is short-lived, as always.
3 more to go next week. HAHA! How come my life seems so sad one! Mehhhhhhh. My life revolves around school, and only school, during test/exams periods. I’m missing out so much in life! ;(
Okay. No complains. I’m a student right now! Thats what it should be anyway, right? :D
& During my test today, I had a panicky moment. It was a chemistry test, and guess what. MY CALCULATOR BATTERY WAS FLAT. Totally flat, that I don’t even see a shadowy 0 when I press the on button. WHAT LUCK! The only lucky side was I had extra batteries in my pencil case, phew! I think next time I need to carry a screwdriver to school too. hah!
I’ve always been the kiasu sort who brings TWO calculator to tests/exams but it was just this once I’ decided to lighten my load, and this had to happen. haahah! Just my luck! :3 but thankfully the test was manageable :)

It was some weeks ago, I think ~2 weeks ago, when I went to the airport to send one of my friend off to UK, for studies.
It was really fate to have known this group of friends. They’re all from Ngee Ann poly, and I met them together with Dilys when we went for our overseas attachment in Dundee, Scotland.
:)) I miss the days there.
Anyway it was really sad to see her leave! Though we don’t meet up very often, but we still do keep in touch and meet up once in a while. Our last meet up before her departure day was a clubbing trip @ Zouk, which I blogged about sometime ago..

Omg, I’m relieved I didn’t have to leave Singapore/Malaysia to study, in this sense..
But now I really don’t know if its a good decision. I’m kinda suffering haha! But oh well! It just made me think!

I know I haven’t been updating this space for a bit. But school work’s been keeping me way too occupied. Much more than I’d like to be. Grrr~
Anyway, Thanks to Omy.sg and Shaw Organisations, I got the privilege of catching the Gala Premiere of Legend of the Fist: Return of Chen Zhen! :)))
& I brought RuoYan along!
We met up a little while before the movie time to have dinner!
We decided on going to Wheelock because it was just opposite The Shaw House. Easy to get over there! Walked around and finally decided to have our early dinner @ The Pasta Shop by Sakae! There wasn’t a single soul inside when we decided to step in. Lol!
This was what I ordered:
Spicy Soft Shell Crab Pasta! It was a little spicy for me. :/ I’ really can’t take spicy food!
& darling ordered Carbonara with Bacon and egg! She said its not bad!
Hehehehe. Those were our starters! Edamame and Potato Salad (half seen)! The potato salad was not bad too!
As I was itching for some sweet treats and Big O cafe (?) happened to have some afternoon tea promo until 6pm, we had a little rest at the pasta shop before hopping over to Big O for a piece of cake! :D
We shared this cute little heart shape cake! Mousse based with a little sponge in between! :)
While waiting for the movie… YES, sad uni life!!! We had to make use of the time to MUG!!! D:
& Finally, it was near the time for the movie and we walked over to Lido!
Excited I was as I waited for the start of the movie. DONNIE YEN! ♥

Anyway. If you followed me on Twitter, you’d have known I absolutely enjoyed this movie!! Donnie Yen never failed to amaze me! ♥♥♥
The story was based on the China war times in the olden days.. & when the Japanese took over China. It was quite touching, in some of the parts! I shan’t disclose too much about the movie because YOU GUYS REALLY SHOULD CATCH IT! :D Its gonna be shown in the theatres TOMORROW ONWARDS!!!
&.&.&. Donnie Yen has an ULTRA GOOD BOD!!!♥ I swear. You gotta catch it yourself, seriously! ;) *Drools*
Haha. The only pity was I had the Ip Man feeling in Chen Zhen. It felt like I was watching another Ip Man sequel, but of course, NAHHH. They are all based on different stories. Its just that the fighting scenes brings me back to think of Ip Man! Teeheee.
Okay, enough said. I hope you enjoy the movie as much as I did! :D

Just casually recalled something I heard over the TV about Donnie Yen when they were interviewing him and the team about the new show.
Shu Qi who was starring in the movie together with him said he’s a perfect man. In the sense that, he has very good control over what he eats (as an actor this is very important, I’m sure you agree), then every morning he’d wake up very early (5am or something?) to train his martial art skills, etc, AND he’s a very sweet husband to his wife.
So he actually inspired Shu Qi a fair bit especially on the control diet part.
WAHHHH. WHERE TO FIND?
I haven’t switched on the TV at home for quite awhile (for months, I think), and I only did today because Gillian said Felicia Chin was on TV. Having did nothing more besides stoning in front of my laptop on the bed, I decided to just switch on to catch her and see what was the show about. It was a show about Weddings where they introduced and explored ways to plan a wedding. Eg, they were introducing a shop which does wedding cakes/cupcakes/macaroons etc, then bouquets for brides and stuffs. Nice.
After the show ended, I turned back 100% full attention to my laptop.. UNTIL, I heard some really weird/random commercial ads which starred Quan Yifong. It turned out to be the starting ‘song’ for the variety show New City Beat, 城人新杂志.
I have nothing against her.
But to me, the starting ‘song’ was really unsuitable, in terms of the actions. She was jumping around here and there. (From what I roughly remember.) Just weird.. So weird I can’t forget yet can’t remember totally what I just watched. It just doesn’t suit her age, not old!, but more matured. I’ve always admired her hosting in more serious shows as she always looked good more professional and all. What a let-down!
Anyway, these are the hosts for the New City Beat variety show.
