I believe everyone has someone in their life that is their pillar of strength. Be it it being your girlfriend/boyfriend, best friend, siblings, family, etc.
I’m proud to tell the world, my pillar of strength is non other than my mother, my mommy!
She is someone very strong in the mind, definitely one of her plus point. Giving up is something not found in her dictionary. But sometimes it makes her very stubborn, which is disturbing at times. Nevertheless, she is definitely one of the most persistant person I’ve ever encountered. A wonder woman I’d say.. side track a bit, she’s so darn amazing, she can fix almost everything at home herself!!! Door locks, fridge malfunctions, and I can’t think of others right now, but basically most household stuffs, she can fix them herself. Amaaaazing. She can bake and cook extremely well too (& I’m nothingggg like her T___T). I feel that she’s one perfect example of the chinese idiom: 进得了厨房,出得了厅堂。。
She never fails to put us before herself. No matter how unwell and tired she is, if there’s anything she can do for us, she will. I’m filled with gratitude.. for a mommy like this. In fact, both my parents made me realise how difficult it is, to be a good parent. Whatever they do, they keep us in mind, everything for our well-being. :’) Since I’m so old already (at least old enough), I hope that I can do the same for them too! Some day when I have my own kids.. hopefully I can do as well as my parents.. To be so selfless, so magnanimous, so considerate… :)
Sometimes I wonder what good I did my previous life, to deserve them. (yes I believe in all these)
She’s always there for me as well. Every time I feel extremely(!!) demoralized, dejected and despondent for my tests or exams, she never once stopped encouraging me. She always says as long as I’ve tried my best, it would be sufficient, and that’s all that matters. One encouragement from her just magically made me feel better, because I know, even if the whole world did not see my effort, at least she did. She’s just magical as it is~
I don’t usually share with her regarding matters of the heart, in fact I seldom share them with anyone at all. But that doesn’t mean I’m not close to her.. I love talking to her, hearing about her day, and how she enjoyed her day! ((:
She is also a very considerate and nice person. I always wonder years down the road, if I’ll have as many good friends as she does. I bet not, really. (;¬_¬)
Show y’all something. She posted this status on her fb account.
Seriously. Lolol. No matter how true/logical the statement was, I still believe Mothers’ Day is a day to remember and be thankful to our moms! <3
