Because I believe,

Just as I was about to start typing something for this entry,

I just picked up a call on behalf of my mom because she was on the line, and so her friend who knew I was from SP and now in NUS started chatting with me because her daughter was also in SP. She wanted me to meet her daughter and teach her some “tips” on how to do well. My mom already told me once about this and darn, she really chanced onto the opportunity to talk to me and ask me about it. :/ && She kept going on and on and I got a little impatient so I cut her off and told her I’ll get my mom to return her call. Out of angst, I slammed the phone a little loud and I’m feeling really guilty about it right now. I hope she dropped the line earlier than I did so that she couldn’t hear the slam on my side. I didn’t mean to be rude!!! :(

I understand her worry as a mom, but I felt she was being a little too paranoid, really, which was why I felt impatient. I hope she is not pressuring her daughter too much because that sucks. Parents should really stop comparing their own kids to their friends’ kids, it isn’t healthy comparison at all. The best would be to use them as examples to motivate the kids, but never, ever compare.

Boy am I grateful my parents didn’t bother how I studied. As long as they knew I did my best, they had no qualms about it. :’)

Back to the initial purpose of this entry! All’s good now, I’m chilled! ^^

I like the freedom of typing whatever I want, whenever I like. Which is why I liked the idea of keeping a blog. But somehow, I’m still restrained.

Truth be told, I like reading blogs where the authors occasionally talks a little about their personal life, besides all the happenings/events/advertorials. It feels less ‘commercialized’ with a tinge of personal touch! But never too much because it gets boring and more than often I find myself just scrolling down instead of taking the effort to read! D: I’m lazy like that.

&Anyway,

Its going to be another post with random photos taken randomly! (◕‿◕✿)

Was just looking through my iPhoto, and saw some photos taken during the brother’s graduation in April! :)

My gege graduated! :DDDD

Little brother :)

Can anyone enlighten me why is it so difficult to get someone to cut his hair?!? Absolutely abhors the long girlyyy hair of the lil brother and no one seems to be able to talk sense into him.

CONGRATULATIONS GE GE! Though its slightly more than a month since you officially graduated :P

CONGRATULATIONS TOO G :D

& Some time last week, or the week before, I went to KL with my cousin to get some stuffs done!

After we settled the matters on our side, my (our) auntie brought us around One Utama Shopping Mall to shop. AND EAT :D  Didn’t buy much but I enjoyed eating! lolol.

Dragon I restaurant! ^^

Its a chinese cuisine restaurant in KL. Apparently there’s quite a few branches there if you spot the malls ;) It was like the Din Tai Fung we have in Singapore but with alot more varieties! Yumyum. My favourite xiaolongbaozxzx.

And we stopped by Chili’s for tea break/early dinner!

Om nom nom. Chili's in KL :D

It was my first time dining at Chili’s! I’m so going back to the outlets in Singapore! ^^ ITS TOO CHEESY AND YUMMY!!!

Idk whats the name of this because it was my cousins and auntie who ordered! But it was yumz~

with my cousins and auntie :)

I look hideous in the photo though :( Too tired because I woke up at 3ish-am and embarked on our journey to KL at 4am. Extremely tiring experience >.<

Absolutely filters-free. Taken from the car!!! Mad love this photo! :DD

Thats all for KL!

I think it was some day last week as well,

Salted egg crabs nomnom.

Daddy probably had some cravings for crabs so I agreed to share it with him because momsie couldn’t eat seafood yet. Since it was only two of us to one crab, I had to eat so much of it and as a result super alot of the salted egg gravy because it was too yummy!! Fattening 101%. D:

These days I’ve been eating alot, its bad! :( My appetite is like that of a lion, boohoooo!! As much as I’m determined to melt the calories, I’m so affected by my ginomous appetite, I can never get enough of food. -___-”" Thank goodness I found the motivation and determination and I’d been going for evening walks/jogs with daddy and sometimes mommy! :DD This gotta stay, and the appetite gotta go away.

Anyhoos, gotta run, its evening time! ;)

My inspiration.

I believe everyone has someone in their life that is their pillar of strength. Be it it being your girlfriend/boyfriend, best friend, siblings, family, etc.

I’m proud to tell the world, my pillar of strength is non other than my mother, my mommy!

She is someone very strong in the mind, definitely one of her plus point. Giving up is something not found in her dictionary. But sometimes it makes her very stubborn, which is disturbing at times.  Nevertheless, she is definitely one of the most persistant person I’ve ever encountered. A wonder woman I’d say.. side track a bit, she’s so darn amazing, she can fix almost everything at home herself!!! Door locks, fridge malfunctions, and I can’t think of others right now, but basically most household stuffs, she can fix them herself. Amaaaazing. She can bake and cook extremely well too (& I’m nothingggg like her T___T). I feel that she’s one perfect example of the chinese idiom: 进得了厨房,出得了厅堂。。

She never fails to put us before herself. No matter how unwell and tired she is, if there’s anything she can do for us, she will. I’m filled with gratitude.. for a mommy like this. In fact, both my parents made me realise how difficult it is, to be a good parent. Whatever they do, they keep us in mind, everything for our well-being. :’) Since I’m so old already (at least old enough), I hope that I can do the same for them too! Some day when I have my own kids.. hopefully I can do as well as my parents.. To be so selfless, so magnanimous, so considerate… :)

Sometimes I wonder what good I did my previous life, to deserve them. (yes I believe in all these)

She’s always there for me as well. Every time I feel extremely(!!) demoralized, dejected and despondent for my tests or exams, she never once stopped encouraging me. She always says as long as I’ve tried my best, it would be sufficient, and that’s all that matters. One encouragement from her just magically made me feel better, because I know, even if the whole world did not see my effort, at  least she did. She’s just magical as it is~

I don’t usually share with her regarding matters of the heart, in fact I seldom share them with anyone at all. But that doesn’t mean I’m not close to her.. I love talking to her, hearing about her day, and how she enjoyed her day! ((:

She is also a very considerate and nice person. I always wonder years down the road, if I’ll have as many good friends as she does. I bet not, really. (;¬_¬)

Show y’all something. She posted this status on her fb account.

How can a mother be so sweet? Thanking kids for Mothers' Day? o(>< )o

Seriously. Lolol. No matter how true/logical the statement was, I still believe Mothers’ Day is a day to remember and be thankful to our moms! <3

Pfffffft..

For I know you might be reading my blog, here’s wishing you,

A very HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY to you, MY DEARESTTTTTTT MOMMY LOVE!

Thank you for always being there, for being my inspiration.

I love you! ヾ(@⌒ー⌒@)ノ

Last but not least, a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL LOVELY MOMS OUT THERE!! :)

Taiwan adventures! Continued.

Hello hunnypies~

I got so sick of doing my assignment, so I decided to take some time off to blog.

& The reason why you’re seeing photos from my Taiwan trip even though it was sooooo long ago, is because I finally uploaded them into my MBA. Previously when I blogged the other entries, they were from my old Compaq. And so after uploading I realised I’ve only managed to update a little of the photos.

So there you go! Photos I took in Taiwan. Hope you’re not bored of them already. This is a heavy post with 25 photos. And it took me extremely long to upload the photos because I no longer have Windows Live Writer! :’(

Lets go!

DaddyLove~

Made daddy love wear bro’s earmuffs to take a photo w me HAHA. He’s so cute! :D

the horrible lil bro.

with the brother. horrible. up till now I still haven’t gotten all the Taiwan photos from him because he haven’t converted the .RAW photos to .JPEG. rawhhhhhh >:(

mummyLove so cute! ^~^

Mummy Love :D She just sat on someone’s bike while waiting for our bus to pick us up. Hahah.

And all these were taken in the amusement/theme park. Its been so long I forgot its name :’/

sweeeeeet maximum. hahah. they held hands (for phototaking :P) on the merry-go-round!

SWEET ANOT. Next time I wanna be like that too :’))

again, nobody help me take photo since its my cam, so I took it myself. the blogger style - camwhore.

self-explanatory.

so cuteee! xoxo

Oh, so its called 小人国!These are the 7-eleven mascots in Taiwan. Mega cute!

ferris wheel at the amusement park!

on board!

My camera battery died on me half way D: So thats all I have at the park.

rilakkuma <3 got it from playing ufo catcher in taiwan!

Extremely cute Rilakkuma! Caught it with the help of my friend!

super coincidental! met my poly classmate in tw! and we stayed in the same hotel as well! tell me how coincidental?

Yeah, this friend! haha.

Foooooood.

卤肉饭!in one of the quite famous shop! extremely pathetic portion tho'. =.=

good stuffs always comes in small portions! boooooooo.

鸡丝饭 from the same shop! yummy tooo!

cake as dessert in a café. because we went to 五分埔 too early and most stalls weren't open yet!

mumsie and i <3

I must be frantically searching for WiFi at the café. I’m very sure. There’s no other reason why I held on to my phone over there.

& then it was dinner!

the best steamboat i've ever had!

It comes in a set, with the above being the vegetables component. We get to choose our soup base, mains – chicken/pork/fish head/beef (and I can’t remember what else..)

there~ the meat!

we ordered 4 sets for 4 of us! which was really too much! should have shared!

fresh and tender meat!

and whats a complete meal without dessert!? this is some jelly with... i forgot. but it was yum yum!

So to conclude,in the set meal, you get a set of vegetables, a main course, a side dish (which i didn’t take photos of, but they were delicious as well!), and a dessert!

Most importantly, it was reasonably priced as well!!! :))) one set should cost less than SGD$20, if I didn’t remember wrongly.

Here’s the restaurant! You can google it! They have a website :)

there! this is the awesome steamboat restaurant! they have many branches all around Taiwan. but remember to call for reservations before you go..else be prepared to starve while waiting!!!

I’d definitely visit this restaurant again during my next visit!

T’was a shame :( I forgot about the Hello Kitty desserts shop I wanted to visit, badly. Only realised it when we were planning to head back to the hotel from the departmental stores, and everyone was too tired by then.

Only managed to take photos because they had a Hello Kitty/Sanrio fair in the departmental store.. & Thats when I realised.

hello kitty cake!

another one!

How cute! :( I must visit the shop the next time I visit Taipei!

ANDDD. dinner. Daddy’s friend brought us here!

一品花雕鸡。chickie mascot outside the restaurant where we had dinner!

A shop with this special chicken dish. I forgot how it tasted like already, but it was pretty good.

& Daddy’s friend also ordered something…….unique.

pork marrow. how to eat? look at the next photo.

Its a PORK MARROW! My first time seeing such a thing! >_<

no we don't eat the bone, we drink the marrow! hehh

How unglam also must take photo, for keepsake! haha. :D It was an experience, though I didn’t really like the taste. But it sure is nutritious…

Alright! Thats all for now! :D I’ll blog again soon! Hopefully with Windows Live Writer. Its really tedious blogging through wordpress itself.

XOXO. Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

P.S. forgot to say, I miss my long hair! :( HAIR FASTER GROW.

Chingay Parade in JB!

hello lovelies :D

this is gonna be a quickkkk post because i’m running short of time, yet i feel like typing something.

today marks the start of the recess week (aka study break!) for NUS students. it is indeed a timely break, though i wished there were no strings attached – no tests after that. but thats impossible.

nevermind that, i will be okay!

i still haven’t found any external programme that lets me blog with photos easily, like how Windows Live Writer allow me to do that on my old laptop.  :( so there will not be alot of photos yet!

let me upload some of the photos for the Chingay Parade in JB last Sunday, the 12th of February! :]] It is a yearly event I attend with my family, every single year! <3

Vday special dragon!! So sweeeeeeeeet! (:

Greetings from my MBA!

Hello sweets!

I’m typing this entry on my new MacBook Air (MBA)! YIPPEEEE. :))

Been mentioning to my closer friends that I need an upgrade soon and finally, I got it online through Apple’s RED FRIDAY promotion after the brother (Felix) told me! :D Got RM311 off the usual price thanks to the promotion, yay!

If you’re wondering.. I’m no spenthrift!! I’ve been using my previous Compaq laptop since my first year in polytechnic! So its been a good five years(?) and recently its been extremely laggy and slow due to old age as well as it running outta space.. And I decided its a good time and reason (excuse) to change!

Its my second day using it and I’m trying very hard to get used to the Mac OS platform.. Everything here is extremely new to me! Very willing to learn though, I’m loving my MBA, very much. Especially its light weight. :’)

I’m so making sure that I keep my stuffs properly organised inside my MBA!! A promise to myself.

Teehee, alright. Thats all folks tonight!

Pictures!

Opening my parcel~

My beloved! <3

Last Thursday, I went to Timbré @ Old School with my friends! :D We love the local band 53A very much!! :’) It was definitely worth it to climb that 30825294 flight of stairs up the hill just to listen to them.

I’m already anticipating my next visit to wherever to listen to them! Hehhehehehh.

Timbré @ Old School!

My B and I :D

WQ & RY! The drinking kakis.

Was writing to dedicate a song for 53A the liveband to sing. G took my phone and said hello to my Mommy, took a photo of me and sent it to my Mommy on Whatsapp. & Mommy replied 'Why so happy'. Lolol..

The four of us!

Thats all the photos I took with my iPhone!

Bangs for fringe. & I can't wait for them to grow! =(( Its been two weeks actually. Imagine how short it was after I just cut. Dear hair, will you just grow faster?

P.S. dear current Mac users, does anyone know of any FREE apps/programmes that is compatible for use on my Macbook to blog? I used to use Windows Live Writer on my Windows OS. Please introduce them to me if you know! Much appreciated!
