BUT. It isn’t the point.

That wasn’t the end to my day. I’m glad I had something planned. Which was that I decided I should really take the time to pay the BloodBank @ HSA a visit. Thank goodness I made this plan, I’ve been procrastinating since March.

Can’t describe how it totally lightened up my mood, but yes, I was really happy I could donate a packet of blood, and SAVE LIVES! :D

If you still don’t get it, I went for a blood donation! ^^

The pre-screenings were REALLY a scare. My blood pressure was extremely low during the first measurement, it was like 97/46. *OMG* Thankfully after awhile, the doctor gave me a chance and tried again, it was on-the-dot, 100/60. *PHEWWWWW* Then it was the Iron test, minimum cut off was 12.5 and mine was 12.6. *phew, again!*

AFTERRR ALL THESE, TA-DA, I am certified fit to make a blood donation and there I went lying on the couch/chair/bed. lol. YAYY.

As mentioned earlier, I should have gone in March for my next donation because in between every blood donation you make, you have to rest for 3 months. So I actually haven’t been to bloodbank for more than half a year. haha!

Having said that, I was a little intimidated and didn’t dare to look at them poking me, hehe, which usually I’d.. But it all turned out well! :D AND I’M GOING TO SAVE A LIFE with my packet of bloood!! :D

They also give us a food coupon afterwhich! So don’t worry about fainting after that, they will ensure you’re okay, before letting you leave the bed! : Then you can go claim your drink and food!!

Look at this River of Life! Soooo many people have contributed. Those little fishes (Silver/Red/Gold/etc) have each an ‘owner’ whose names are engraved on it. And these people whos names are on the fishes have donated really alot of times, like 50? or 80? I can’t remember. But different colour means different number of donations too.

I aspire to see my name down there sometime later!!!! :]]]]]

Occasionally, they give out tokens of appreciation to the donors as well. No idea what you’ll get at which # of donation, but to my surprise, I got an sms asking me to collect a t-shirt!!

If you’re afraid that the needles will leave a scar on you because you heard/saw that its huge, no worries at all.

Look at how tiny it is? The lines that you are seeing on my arm is due to the tight bandage!

But I’m home, waiting for daddy to come home before we head out for dinner.

I was contemplating whether to go for a badminton game with cousins, or to join my parents for dinner. & Mommy convinced me to stay. HAHA. The date today is the 23rd July. In less than a month’s time, school is going to start, and judging the way I’m going to arrange my timetable, I’m pretty sure I’ll never be able to be back on time on Fridays to have dinner with my parents anymore.

I think alot, huh?

Its ironic how I don’t fail to complain how boring life is currently, and I know that once school starts, I’ll start missing such carefree and stress-free lives; where I can have breakfast with parents early in the morning, and go back home to sleep. Haaa.

I don’t think we can have the best of both worlds, do we? Humans are never perfect, lest to say, our lives. Its more about living your imperfect lives to the most perfect way..I guess.

Full of reflective thoughts.

So guys, if you’ve come to a point of realization like me, take some time off, and have a meal with your family! ;) All it takes is a an hour or two, probably during the weekends. Its never too late to show you care. :)

*Digress abit*

Jay Chou is featured everywhere, on the newspapers, on magazines!! Haha. While some auntie was flipping her newspaper on the MRT just now, I caught a glimpse of Jay’s news! Hahahaha!

& I bought this week’s issue of i-weekly with Jay Chou being featured inside. How I wished it was all in English. But for him, I’ll read it all! :D:D

Its a Jay Chou week over here in Singapore afterall, so its also not suprising to see him all over. Haha!

Anyway, back to arranging timetable for school, its giving me a headache! Thank goodness I’m comforted that it gets easier as the semesters goes by.

I can’t really adapt to the change from polytechnic to university life.

In polytechnic, we’re given a timetable, and just one whole range of electives for you to choose from.

Now in NUS, we’re only given our cores, and a zillion DIFFERENT kinds of electives to choose from, within or out of your faculty.

Confusing much?

I am so not used to it.

Someone remind me that it’ll be worth it in the end, please?

I really hope uni life is going to be enriching and manageable for me. I’m very paranoid about everything.

Yes, its non other than Jay Chou! An idol I’m full of admiration for.

I was just recently inspired by an article written inside 8 days, two weeks back, which was featuring this mandopop king. :) This was what that sparked my sudden and intense admiration for him.

The article was perfectly written. It depicted all the reasons why we should love this fella.

Many would mention that they can’t understand what this man is singing since he mumbles too much. But hey, this is where the beauty of his incoherent singing lies in – this might be a reason why his music is loved, to some others. I admit when I was younger, I never admired him, at all, and this was one of the silly reasons I gave.

The author also mentioned something like “he aint no Wu Zun, but this just means that we love our man first and foremost for his musical genius”.

At this point of time, I’m filled with guilt. I was one of the shallow “heartthrob-worshipping” Chinese pop fan who goes around telling people “Fahrenheit/Wu Zun is my idol” – purely because they are good-looking!!

Other than that, this 31 years old guy over here is a real deal man! ‘He writes his own songs, directs his own music videos, and takes orders from no one..’. Talented, I would say!

Not forgetting, he can play the piano (and probably other instruments? I don’t know!) so well. I’m full of adoration for people who are good at piano, especially guys. They are impressive. Sadly, its because I myself can’t play the piano well.

Last but not least, this guy is a good guy. He’s super filial. Look at the songs he has written/sang over the years. I’m sure everyone knows how well-known Jay Chou is, as a filial son/grandson. :))

He had just had his first ever autograph session in Singapore today (strictly speaking its yesterday since its already past 12am). I’m sure it was a successful one because I’d heard of friends raving about the thousands of crowd that jammed the whole of Bugis Junction. Wished I was there! But I know I wouldn’t be able to stand the wait, and all the squeezing! HAHA!

One day, one day, I will be willing to spend the money to attend his concerts. So Jay Chou, wait for me, and please don’t retire so early! =))

For the past few days I’d been having full-day (or almost!) activities that kept me occupied from day to night. Totally drained of energy.

Saturday was an awesome day, whereby I got to touch mahjong again!! My fingers were really itching for some mahjong therapy, and thanks to my usual mahjong kakis, I got my therapy satisfied. *HAPPYYYY*

The lovely thing about this gang is, there’s no stress playing with them. Halfway through the round, somebody mentioned FOOD, somebody else seconded the idea, and there we go, settled out for our tea break! :D I’m of course, one of them who seconded. HAHAA, I’m a food lover, and we went for my favourite rojak/ice kacang stall in JB!!! Its the BEST place for such sinful treats.

Thank you Kaiwei, Yvonne, Patrick, Koon Phi!! & those in the gang, but I didn’t manage to meet on the other mahjong date. :)!

PS: No photos because everyone complains they’re in their shaggest form during mahjong sessions! HAHA!

After mahjong, I went home and had a short nap before heading out for dinner with the Ker family. :)

I was craving for Secret Recipe cakes..and by the time our dinner ended, it was the closing times for the malls as well so cravings wasn’t satisfied. *Sigh*

Sunday saw me out in Singapore for Playboy’s outing! :D

Our actual plan to the Botanicals Garden was destroyed by the bad weather. It was drizzling almost all day! I hate rainy days because they make the weather so humid and sticky!!

Thus we ended up @ PitStop Cafe, which was a boardgames cafe! I think its quite a good cafe with reasonable prices! Only setback that will make me think twice about going back again is that we need to walk a distance away from Clarke Quay Mrt. Other than that, its a pretty comfortable cafe. ;) *Thumbs up*

After a series of different games played, I conclude that I have SLOW and LAGGED REACTION TIME, cannot THINK/COUNT quickly, and BEST at silly games which doesn’t require BRAINS! *HAHAHA* Shitttt, I wanna bang wall now. ><”

Caught Eclipse: The Twilight Saga, like finally!

Many were really unsatisfied with the movie, perhaps those who read the book! The storybooks usually gives very good description making the stories so real, and that is probably why the readers are disappointed with the movie..

Under a non-twilight-saga-reader’s perspective, I beg to differ, and I felt that the movie wasn’t that bad on the overall.

I agree there were some scenes that had too many exchanges in conversation that could have made the movie a tad boring, but on the overall, I felt it was still an-okay-movie. At least not as bad as what some people described it to be. HAHA!

More importantly, yours truly didn’t even close my eyes for a second! :)))

I can’t wait for BREAKING DAWN.

Eclipse portrayed some sort of battle between Jacob and Edward for Bella, so I presume Breaking Dawn would give us a conclusion? *I really have no idea for I haven’t read the book!, its 100% under my presumptions!*

Anyway I wished I was Bella HAHA!

There’s one character I’ve been hating ever since I watched the first series, Twilight.

& I’m more than glad she was ‘killed’ in Eclipse! :D

This morning saw me being sporty after a long long break. I haven’t been exercising since months ago! Since I started working for the first time, in May! Thats a good two months, I’m feeling really guilty.

But it was a good ‘work out’ as I finally moved my muscles a little more than usual by playing badminton!

& Now I’m aching everywhere. HAHA. It means a pretty good work out, eh? I hope.

Also went for the medical appointment as a requirement for admission to NUS. Settled, and another agenda ticked off my schedule. :D

Pretty much sums up my day today.

Travelled back to JB after which and home sweet home. :)

15th of July is finally OVER! Its a date that’s bookmarked on my phone calendar since eons ago..

I can’t reiterate how worried I was about this silly QET test, and no matter what is the outcome, I’m glad its over.

Its feels as if a rock (that weighs a 100 tonnes) is off my chest. I can finally breathe at ease, enjoy myself guilt-free. The few days before the test was a terror. Knowing my usual self, I really couldn’t help but procrastinate till the last minute. Urghhhhhh. Totally hates myself for that. BUTTTT. Its alright, everything’s over, and I’ll resign to ‘fate’ to decide. HAHA. Oookay, my senior asked me to *have faith*!!

Life’s easier and happier like that, isn’t it?

ANYWAYYYYY.

YESTERDAYYYYYY, I caught a movieeee (feeling totally guilty!!) with Suet Yin and Nic!!! SUPER LOVE THEMMM FOR WATCHING KARATE KID WITH ME AGAIN!! Yes, Karate Kid. I know I’m slower than anything. But hey, there were like 3 rows of people in the theatres too okay. So at least 3 rows of people as slow as me. 

It was really a good catch! & I’m so super duper glad I caught it at the very last minutee! Because even the cinemas in JB are not showing it anymore.. Mommy’s gonna be so disappointed.

AWESOME MOVIEEEE.

I’d give it a 4.5/5 stars..

It was so touching, the part where Jackie Chan was reminiscing about his wife and son. Oh my! :(

& Extremely heart wrenching when the super evil and arrogant coach wanted to break Dre’s legs. Ouchhhhh. I feel for him! :(

AIYAAA.

Definitely worth the watch. But if you missed it, wait for the DVDs to come out and watch it at home, I guess? :))

But at the same time, I missed a few pretty good movies too.

Omg I feel super demoralised and depressed. 

I missed out so many great movies. And my only chance to catch two out of the six here is tomorrow. I found out one cinema in JB that’s still showing a single slot of Triple Tap and The Backup Plan, tomorrow. Sighhh. The other 4, its either I manage to catch them last minute like how I caught Karate Kid, or I’ll never watch them. Sad ttm.

I’m so going to catch the movies I wanna watch before they are removed from the screens again! :((

No matter how lousy Eclipse: The Twilight Saga was said to be, I think I’m still going to watch it. HAHA.

I wanna catch Eclipse, Despicable me, Inception, Street dance for now.

I’m having mixed feelings about school.

At times, I can’t wait for it to start because my boredness is really filled to the brim. But on other occassions, I wished I had more time, to have fun, watch movies, go K with friends, meet up with friends, go partyyyyy, etc. But then again, it will become boring again.

Okay I shall anticipate the start of school :) I wonder how university life is going to be like, for me..

No one says its going to be easy.

But at least, its going to be worth it. (:

Met Lim Jing Kai after that for dinner! We wanted to catch a movie but alas there were really no suitable slots. Either full house or bad timings, so we gave it a miss and went for dinner straight! Queued for Ichiban Sushi for like freaking long? 10-15 minutes at least. I’ve never bothered queuing for food, so 10 minutes is considered a long wait.  Haha.

I look so tired! But I really was. haha.

I went for all the extraordinary events these few days…

& today, I went to catch the Yonex-Sunrise Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton Competition! My first time catching it LIVE at the stadium, usually I’d only be catching matches infront of the TV..

Thanks to Hong Lin, I got another free entry in. HAHA.

Our Malaysia Women Doubles – 2nd Runner up! :)) They played well! I think one of them is only 21 this year, not sure bout the other but I guess they’re either twins, or at least sisters. Haha. Their names are Ng Hui Lin and Ng Hui En. So thats why I’m pretty confident about saying that.

As mentioned in the previous entry, it was my cousin’s wedding dinner, just two days ago.

Weddings.

I’ve been to aplenty weddings, cousins, relatives, parent’s friends, & a lecturer’s, etc.

But I always feel the same. They always give me the blissful feeling I’d like to feel. Its a once in a lifetime affair. Someday sometime later, I’d want to be the main character of a wedding too. HAHA!

Well well.. Lets think about the future when the time comes.

Meanwhile, PHOTOS! :D (I’ve taken the least photos this time round compared to the other cousin’s weddings. Perhaps I was really worn out and I look absolutely unappealing that night..lol. Oh yes, not forgetting, the ugly tan I got from SCamp has a part to play. & My fringe was a bitch that day and it decided to throw a fit!)

I’ll be in NUS for the next four days for another camp. This time, I’m attending the NUS Student Union (NUSSU) Camp. I was a tad disappointed with all the prior information for the camp, but I shall leave it aside for now. BECAUSE THE CAMP IS JUST TOMORROW! :D 

I just hope it’ll be FUN (:

I’ve been a happy girl today!!

The day started all well except that I was a little (just a little!) late according to the time I said I would be in NUS haha!

& why was I in school?

I was there to help out for R A G! (Google NUS RAG if you’re really curious what is it about, because I find it really hard to explain what is RAG all about!)

So glad at least 3 other members plus seniors were there down to help toooo, so I was really really entertained. HAHA! We had fun crapping, laughing at each other, etc. It was pure fun&joy while doing SOMETHING BIG! :D

I wanna go down for RAG again again!! >.>

AND. After RAGGING, I left for CCK Lot 1 to have dinner with Soo Wen and Wee Chang! Apologiessss I was late again! hahaha. It was a good catch up! HAHA! We couldn’t even remember the last time we met.. Tsk!

I finally got my loots from Cotton On which I’ve been eyeing since like two months ago. This is sooo terrible. From the time GSS started and now GSS is ending or have already ended! SO happy anyway!

Simple days spent with people who are worth it is the best! :D

I’ve gotten hold to the fact.

The short clip they showed us was full of movements here and there. The circular platform in the middle is the main stage, and surrounding the circle stage it was made up of 5-6 boards of LED screens that complimented with the scenes in the centre of the platform.

All the LED screens were retracted.

On another faithful day, we went to this villa (別墅) which was previously owned by some big shot. Perhaps a highly ranked government servant or a really rich fella.

Then on another night, we went to this wax museum.. It was located where the Shanghai Pearl Tower was.

I LOVEEEE this!

 

From the outside, it looked like a mini little wax museum but after we started it seemed never ending! We walked till our legs were reallyreally sore, and tummies were growling because we haven’t had our dinner despite it being like 10ish soon.

Another night, we went to this Times Square. I really have no idea which part of China were we at, my apologies. But they had the longest LED panels, I think. Look at the photos in the first row of the collage. It was all along the whole mall. Really a pretty and hi-tech mall eh!

And I hugged Hai Bao.. haha! SO CUTEEEEEE.

This was at the night market of Yi Wu, another city in China.. THIS WAS WHERE I SAW THE LITTLE POMERANIAN DOGGIE!!

Basically a wholesale market for everything you need, under the sun. BUT, you need to buy your goods in extreme bulk. like at least in hundreds, or thousands.

All over the wholesale market they have many many ladies walking around with a tool kit and they help to clean those leather shoes!! HAHA. Mad cute! Daddy and Felix got their shoes cleaned!!!!

This was one of the place we dined at in Yi Wu, its like Chup Chai Beng but they have like maybe a hundred types of dishes for us to choose? Maybe a little exaggerating but there’s really ALOT! The place is called CMK, haha! And that day we ordered like 18 different dishes!!!

Raindrops Cafe was the other place we dropped by for dinner @ Yi Wu! And I REALLY loveeeeeee this cafe! Because there were like 10 of us, they gave us a special room and yes, what you see above was in the special room! An automatic MAHJONG table!!! and also a computer (which I didn’t feature in any of the photos, but anyway there was one.). Awesome isn’t it! :D But of course it comes with a price too, it was really of cafe standard! HAHA!
