Taiwan adventures! Continued.

Hello hunnypies~

I got so sick of doing my assignment, so I decided to take some time off to blog.

& The reason why you’re seeing photos from my Taiwan trip even though it was sooooo long ago, is because I finally uploaded them into my MBA. Previously when I blogged the other entries, they were from my old Compaq. And so after uploading I realised I’ve only managed to update a little of the photos.

So there you go! Photos I took in Taiwan. Hope you’re not bored of them already. This is a heavy post with 25 photos. And it took me extremely long to upload the photos because I no longer have Windows Live Writer! :’(

I must be frantically searching for WiFi at the café. I’m very sure. There’s no other reason why I held on to my phone over there.

& then it was dinner!

the best steamboat i've ever had!

It comes in a set, with the above being the vegetables component. We get to choose our soup base, mains – chicken/pork/fish head/beef (and I can’t remember what else..)

we ordered 4 sets for 4 of us! which was really too much! should have shared!

and whats a complete meal without dessert!? this is some jelly with... i forgot. but it was yum yum!

So to conclude,in the set meal, you get a set of vegetables, a main course, a side dish (which i didn’t take photos of, but they were delicious as well!), and a dessert!

Most importantly, it was reasonably priced as well!!! :))) one set should cost less than SGD$20, if I didn’t remember wrongly.

there! this is the awesome steamboat restaurant! they have many branches all around Taiwan. but remember to call for reservations before you go..else be prepared to starve while waiting!!!

I’d definitely visit this restaurant again during my next visit!

T’was a shame :( I forgot about the Hello Kitty desserts shop I wanted to visit, badly. Only realised it when we were planning to head back to the hotel from the departmental stores, and everyone was too tired by then.

Only managed to take photos because they had a Hello Kitty/Sanrio fair in the departmental store.. & Thats when I realised.

gimme a confidence boost, anybody?

hello sweets!

its 10 minutes to 2am, and i’m awake blogging (instead of anything else more productive).

actually its because i’m waiting for my hair to dry before i could sleep. so its also a good reason to stay awake, but for the wrong reasons as well. -_- okay i know i’m confusing.

today. i learnt about a lot of things.

its only today, that i realised, how little confidence i have, as a girl.

plenty of good opportunities, i missed. in the past years.

as i was thinking about all these.. i thought of the song 那些年。。

那些年错过的大雨。。

but well life goes on. it doesn’t matter already by now.

what that matters, IS THE FUTURE.

i’m looking forward. :’)

anyhows, just around a month ago, like a week before CNY, i had a really bad eye allergy attack! and my eyes were blood-shot RED.

this photo couldn't exactly capture the redness of my eye, but you get the idea. it was so painful i was tearing for hours! T___T

and so. 2012′s CNY broke my record, at least in the recent years. i spent CNY with my spectacles instead of contact lens because the eye specialist said no! :(

my family and i went to China for a 5D4N tour for CNY. the first trip that i probably took less than 10 photos?!? i’m quite certain of that. because i think i look too hideous. T___T

& i spent my CNY holidays being a speckyz. took this at the airport :O i love my shoe!

teehee sorry i haven’t sorted out my photos from china. but in fact i didn’t take much photos too. but you will see the photos when i’m more free. (school is killing me now!)

welll…i got bored while waiting for my hair to be dried. so.. here goes. MY SPECKY FACE rawhhhhhh. heheh photobooth love! will love it more when i can be more vain! lol. i’m still not allowed to wear contact lenses. at least for another two months. hoping for good news from the specialist after that! :’)))

Taiwan photologs!

Finally finally. A part of the Taiwan photos are with me. The brother is sooooo lazy he’s so slow!

I abhor DSLRs/semi-pro cameras which takes photos in .RAW form. At least for now, I don’t require that kind of detailed processing of my photos. I’m TOO LAZY and its TOO TIME CONSUMING. Kudos to all photographers! All your time and patience spent on the processing photos is a virtue, I respect.

Enough of rumblings and rantings.

Spot my greedy face. *guilty* We were eating tang-yuans (glutinous rice balls) alike stuffs, which are made of yam/pumpkins.

It was more food than anything else, at this Jiu Fen old street. Daddy ate this traditional fish balls! They were quite yums too, alot of meat inside their fish balls.

Catch the name of the shop on top of the photo. Its a shop selling lots and lots of goodies! Be sure to visit them when you’re here. They allow samplings for most of the goodies so you’ll definitely buy the right snacks home! :DDD Remember its “AH XIN DE DIAN”.

The following night, was spent at the resort I previously blogged about here!

It was an orchid based hotel/resort..

& There were many many different types of breeds of orchids in their lobby!!! I’m not sure if I’ve taken a photo of everything actually..

Look at my slippers. Epicccccc. I wore this hotel slipper out instead of my shoes because they were wet from the touring earlier in the morning! =.= It was damn funny everyone was looking at my unique shoes.

Welcome 2 Taiwan! part 3

Hello sweeties! :)))

More of my Taiwan Adventures! Glad I brought my camera as well because the brother is so slow, he still hasn’t uploaded our photos! >:(

No more hotels for today!

People in Taiwan REALLY LOVE DOGS!! (Haven’t seen much of cats though) And they bring their dogs everywhere they go. Thus I’ve been seeing dogs everywhere on the streets. So pampered and cute!! Alot of people are selling dog’s clothes as well, I believe especially in this season due to the chilly weather. This dog’s owner bought the pom a dinosaur attire. SUPER CUTEEE but I didn’t capture it! :O

This is 玄天上帝神像! (I had to refer to my itinerary, :/) Its a super huge statue! :)

This is another tourist attraction spot! The mouth of the dragon is the entrance!

Pretty background! Its called a 亭 in chinese, where people can take a rest in it!

OHHH, its LIU HE YE SHI!!! :) Spot mommy queuing for this Hu Jiao Bing!! Its not bad, I feel :)

It is baked inside this well-like thing with charcoal! So unique right!! All the little round buns you see inside is the Hu Jiao Bing! (Pepper biscuit – directly translated!) The person have to dig out the buns one by one!

The next day, we went to Sun Moon Lake! Pretty pretty place!

Daddy’s friend says it would be perfect if we could spend a night there, but our tour package didn’t! We only went on a boat ‘tour’ around the lake!

I don’t know how to describe its beauty.. But this photo is definitely not doing the place justice! You need to be there to enjoy the breathtaking view!

If I didn’t remember wrongly, the tour guide mentioned that Sun Moon Lake is made up of two parts. One side of it resembles a Sun while the other resembles a Moon! Thus there comes the name!

&&& THIS IS THE FAMOUS AH PO CHA YE DAN!!! <3333333 Its mad delicious.. I had TWO eggs. I would have gotten more if eggs were free of cholesterol!!

I’m missing the CHA YE DANs as I’m typing away now! :(((

& Back to where we boarded the boat! Ain’t the backdrop beautiful?! I took a photo here as well but its with the brother! >:(

Welcome 2 Taiwan! part 2

& So continuing my photolog…

This post consists mainly of photos of the hotels I stayed in! Interesting because its my first time staying in such hotels lol.

I think they call it Motels. I used to think motels are cheap hotels, but after staying at this, I thought otherwise. Correct me if I’m wrong! Because the motel I stayed in was so good! The only bad part is I stayed in it with my brother. =.=” They are called 汽车旅馆! It was an experience I’d say. ;)

Awesome hotel, but with the wrong person. HAHA!

The wash up area. Its not enclosed!

Shower area. I specially took this photo because the shower head(s) are so awesome! There’s THREE or FOUR outlets of water.. Super comfy! From the top (reaching our heads directly), then then usual angle, as well as another one that will reach our back area…

There’s also a sauna area. The toilet bowl, shower and sauna areas are demarcated with GLASS. So basically everything was see through –_____ – when I bathed, the brother was restricted from the area, and vice versa..

There’s even a mini Jacuzzi inside the room! How awesome. But I didn’t manage to use it, felt so sore about it :(

It was open as well, only located behind a “wall”. Everything was so exposing wtf. hahaha. That is why I said I was there with the wrong person. *Sorry for the blur photo. Didn’t realise!

&&& Not fogetting a huge TV!! :D If you can recognise, behind the TV, its the wash up area. So the toilet, shower and sauna is all there. Infront of the TV is where the beds are!

& Why is it called a 汽车旅馆? Because you can drive your own car into this garage, and your hotel is inside!

Its like a super nice hotel for honeymoon. *But also for people to 偷情. hmm..

Anyway I didn’t do anything that was not-decent there.. So it was just an experience for me!! Because I’ve never stayed in such a hotel before.

& Thats all the photos I took during the day because it was a really bad rainy day. I could only remember my shoes were thoroughly soaked (of canvas material T__T)! So it was crazy uncomfy for me the whole day.

The hotel we stayed that night was interesting too!!! It was like a little resort and they had activities prepared for their guests! ;)

And TA-DAAAAA. ITS MUA CHEEEEEEEE!!! =DDD The stuffs you see on top the flour is peanuts and sugar! It was super noms!!!

Besides, they also let us write our wishes for the coming New Year, and we tied it on a tree!

We wrote our wishes on this cute rabbit! & Tied it around a tree. They had a little temple infront of the trees! May the Gods bless and grant our wishes! ^^

The words you see in chinese, is the name of the ‘resort’. It is called a farm stay if directly translated.

After that, we went to their KTV rooms! Didn’t sing though, we sat around hear some of our tour-mates sing and left soon after to rest! :D

& That was all for the night!

Alright I’ve been typing a bit! So tired now because I just came back from a 3D2N camp! I’ll update again real soon! :)
