Pomeranians FTWWWW!

Hello NUS!

Hello guys! I hope you had a good weekend.

Especially to NUS fellow mates. (& NIE peeps!) Tomorrow is the start of our semester. Like how time flies, 6 weeks of vacations were over.

I had so much fun!

I clubbed 3x! Once every week in the last 3 weeks of holidays, with my FAVOURITE clubbing kakis! That makes nice memories; Last ladies night of 2010, First ladies night of 2011. ;) [photos to be up soon!]

I met up with some friends. Unfortunately, not as many as I wanted/expected to. Due to  clashes in schedules and stuffs.

To friends who still linger around my blog, if you think we need a meet up, BUZZ me asap when you’re free! I’d be able to accommodate to dinner/movie dates before school life gets real busy! I’d be very very appreciative. :D

I spent time with my dearest parents and family. Much more time that I can afford during the semester. <3 Breakfast with the parents every morning as long as I’m at home.

Now I can’t wait for Chinese New Year! Its another short getaway with the family somewhere! :D && NEW CLOTHESSSS!! :DDDD

To the star t of a new semester,

I hope that it’d be a better semester, in terms of CAPS, in terms of happening-ness, and everything else.

This 3.5 years of my life is highly possibly the last 3.5 years of education for me. And I want to walk out of NUS, proud to say I’ve not wasted my life there, in terms of CCA, and involvements. (Not like in poly/secondary. I’ve been so remorseful.)

&Oh, I just realised I’m left with 3 years (hopefully if everything goes well!!).

Carpe diem!

ALL the best everyone, for your new semester! :D

&& YES, 10th Jan. ‘O’ level results.

ALL THE BEST to my DEAREST LIL’ bro =). The same goes to everyone of you receiving your results as well!

Marsiling Secondary FTW!

As much as we all worry and panic for you, we still hope and want the best for you. <3

Till then!

The Fair Game!

Thanks to Omy.sg and Shaw, I got to catch a preview screening of the movie ‘Fair Game’! Its a thriller!

You probably have not heard of this movie, but its gonna be exclusively shown in Shaw theatres (i think!) from the 13th of January onwards, which is next Thursday!

& This is the synopsis!

A fascinating glimpse into the dark corridors of political power, Fair Game is a riveting drama inspired by the experiences of real-life undercover CIA officer Valerie Plame, whose career is destroyed and her marriage strained to its limits when her covert status is exposed by a White House press leak.

Valerie Plame (Watts), a covert officer in the CIA’s counter-proliferation department, discovers that Iraq has no active nuclear weapons program, contrary to the belief of many in the U.S. government. Meanwhile, Valerie’s husband Joe Wilson (Sean Penn), a former ambassador to Niger, is sent by the State Department to Africa to investigate rumors of the possible sale of enriched uranium to Iraq. After the White House ignores Joe’s findings that no such deal took place, (along with at least two other reports that also confirmed the absence of any evidence of a uranium purchase) and declares war on Iraq, Joe writes a piece in The New York Times outlining his conclusions and ignites a firestorm of controversy.

Soon after, Valerie’s covert status is leaked to high-profile Washington journalists. Is it an unfortunate coincidence or a coordinated campaign to retaliate against her husband for his very public disagreement with the government? With her cover blown and her overseas contacts now left exposed and vulnerable, Valerie is pushed to the breaking point as her career and private life begin to implode. Friends become indignant, then distant. Valerie receives anonymous death threats and Joe’s consulting business dries up as a result of the concerted smear campaign against them. After 18 years serving the government, Valerie—a mother, a wife and a field officer with an impeccable record—now struggles to save her reputation, her career and her marriage.

Crackling with sharp dialogue, intrigue and heart-pounding suspense, Fair Game is the gripping account of one woman’s struggle to overcome a staggering betrayal and reclaim her life.

Sounds interesting much, yeah?

Actually, I’m not a person who likes such a movie. & I was confused half the time during the movie! If you’re a person who likes such political stuffs, this is the movie for you!

Anyway, after I came home from the movie, I decided to read the synopsis (above!) again, and I seem to be able to understand the movie  better. Abit slow.. HAHA!

Oh well, I’d give the movie a 3/5. I guess its just not my type! :P

Catch the trailer here!

If this is the kind of movie for you, remember to catch it next week onwards in any Shaw theatre!

Thanks for the movie, I finally got the chance to date this woman out!! HEHEHE! Haven’t seen her for super duper long! :D

Stay tuned peeps! I really have loads to update! I NEED TIMEEE.

Brand new 2011!

This is my official first post written in 2011! The previous one was posted in 2011, but written on the last day of 2010! Heh!

In a brand new 2011;

I’m like the usuals.

I wanna give myself targets to work toward to.

I think I have some resolutions made in the early days of 2010 as well, but since I haven’t been reflecting on myself about the resolutions (in fact I can’t even remember what I wrote), I shall start it this year. :)

Hopefully, by the end of 2011, I can keep up to what I want to achieve in this brand new year.

resolution2011

1. I want to lose weight! –My fats are piling up EVIDENTLY, gotta do something! :<

-Gym/swin at least 2x a week! :D and when school starts to get real busy, I shall make do with 1 if I can’t cope with time!

2. I need to learn to be a little more patient and less temperamental!

3. Reduce procrastination and be more productive! – procrastination has brought me nowhere in 2010. buck up anna!

4. point 3 leads me on to better time management! – freaking need to plan and spend my time wisely; its gonna be a swift semester once school starts.

5. Be less lazy! Help at home (including cleaning up the [almost permanent] mess created in my room!)/proper face-masking/scrubbing regime weekly/etc!! I need a kick on my butt!! :/

I think all these 5 of sufficient for the time being!

Everything boils down to self-management. I shall be a more disciplined person starting 2011!

:D:D

If you have a whole list of such resolutions too, lets all jiayou and keep up to at least half of what we want to achieve!! ^_^ This shall be revealed at the end of the year!

With love, Anna!
