Inside Australia Pavilion!
The short clip they showed us was full of movements here and there. The circular platform in the middle is the main stage, and surrounding the circle stage it was made up of 5-6 boards of LED screens that complimented with the scenes in the centre of the platform.
All the LED screens were retracted.
These were the LED screens.
This is one of the LED screens (thats what I meant) and they move up and down.
The effect was gorgeous. I hope you got what I meant. HAHA!
On another faithful day, we went to this villa (別墅) which was previously owned by some big shot. Perhaps a highly ranked government servant or a really rich fella.
This was the place!
It took him 3 shots to take a PROPER photo with me.
- Then on another night, we went to this wax museum.. It was located where the Shanghai Pearl Tower was.
- See the little girl in the tub-like thingy? Thats how they used to keep their children while at work, to prevent them from running around. So cute!

- Busy at work, with I-don’t-know-what.
-
- I think the buildings are really well done it looks sooo real.
- Niceeeee right? (:
- A little explanation about this street. I hope you can see the words!
-

- I LOVEEEE this!
From the outside, it looked like a mini little wax museum but after we started it seemed never ending! We walked till our legs were reallyreally sore, and tummies were growling because we haven’t had our dinner despite it being like 10ish soon.
Another night, we went to this Times Square. I really have no idea which part of China were we at, my apologies. But they had the longest LED panels, I think. Look at the photos in the first row of the collage. It was all along the whole mall. Really a pretty and hi-tech mall eh!
And I hugged Hai Bao.. haha! SO CUTEEEEEE.
This was at the night market of Yi Wu, another city in China.. THIS WAS WHERE I SAW THE LITTLE POMERANIAN DOGGIE!!
From an artist’s impression..
That was Mummy and I with some of their ’stalls’. I really wonder how they do the business they have like less than 30 pieces of tops..
I bought my plastic glasses there HAHAH! Removed the lenssssss! :D
This is the baby pom, if you’ve forgotten. HAHA.
YESSS, this is the place I mentioned, Yi Wu! :))
Basically a wholesale market for everything you need, under the sun. BUT, you need to buy your goods in extreme bulk. like at least in hundreds, or thousands.
All over the wholesale market they have many many ladies walking around with a tool kit and they help to clean those leather shoes!! HAHA. Mad cute! Daddy and Felix got their shoes cleaned!!!!
Some self-loving at night in the hotel room..
I love my glasses I wanna make a pair of real ones! But they always turn out horrendous once the lenses are inserted.
Hehe, my falsies!
lalala~
This was one of the place we dined at in Yi Wu, its like Chup Chai Beng but they have like maybe a hundred types of dishes for us to choose? Maybe a little exaggerating but there’s really ALOT! The place is called CMK, haha! And that day we ordered like 18 different dishes!!!
Raindrops Cafe was the other place we dropped by for dinner @ Yi Wu! And I REALLY loveeeeeee this cafe! Because there were like 10 of us, they gave us a special room and yes, what you see above was in the special room! An automatic MAHJONG table!!! and also a computer (which I didn’t feature in any of the photos, but anyway there was one.). Awesome isn’t it! :D But of course it comes with a price too, it was really of cafe standard! HAHA!
I think there’s an overload of photos already. I’ll continue on my next entry! :D
HAPPY FAMILYYYYYYY!
Adventures @ China!

I AM BACK AGAIN! :D
This post will be mad full with photos, from China! Butbut, they are not in any chronological order because by now I’ve forgotten all the littlest details. Like which place did we travel first, and later, etc.
I have to say, this is one of the best attraction we went to. Not purely because I’m a Buddhist, but because it was really worth your time, worth your sweat climbing nearer to the Buddha’s statue. And not forgetting, I’m so proud to be a Buddhist! The following photos will tell.
The steps I mentioned, worth your sweat and perspiration. (:
You see tiny little humans slightly above the lotus? Thats the closest we could go – to touch the Buddha’s feets. Like the Chinese saying goes “凌时抱佛脚”. haaa!
Yessss, they had to protect the temple, so we had to wear protective shoe covers!!! BUT IT WAS WORTH IT AS WELL. Because I’ve never seen a temple more magnificent, more luxurious, more majestic, more impressive, and I could go on and on.. I’ve always visited churches which are outstanding, nice and all, but not temples, and this is my FIRST. It beats all the temples I’ve visited hands down.
I’m still in the midst of figuring out how to show you the temple because I took an overall video of the inside. It’d be too exhausting to capture every area of the temple using photos! I’d need hundreds of photos to show you them all. HEHE.
This is the lotus that depicts how Buddha was born!
see how the lotus opens up?
*My apologies I have 0 intentions to publicise my religion on my blog but I have to show you what I find really impressive. I hope its an eye-opener to you too! The temple was only completed in the recent years because the last time I was here, it wasn’t existent yet.*
Some really random photos up next!
Its a Hello Kitty storage box! They have HK all overrrr, I want!!!
Then our first day @ the Shanghai World Expo 2010!!!
I’m still pissed at myself for forgetting to give this pavilion a visit! Now I wonder whats inside…
And yes, we visited this pavilion because we didn’t need to queue!!! *flashes Malaysia passport*
None other than the formidable China Pavilion!!
Because we thought we could omit all the queuing as we were told we managed to ‘reserve/book’ to visit this China Pavilion. Express lane hor, see no queue behind one.
Look at the crazy crowd. So apparently after you manage to ‘reserve’ a timing to visit this pavilion, you only omit the primary queue. There’s a secondary one waiting for you inside. And it took us nearly two hours to get in.
This is ME, cous, and cous-in-law. (:
After we came out!
If you’re wondering, I’d say China Pavilion was worth the 2-hours-queue. It was awe-inspiring inside, they showed the world what China could do. Thumbs up!! Its the best pavilion we visited. And also because we didn’t visit that many in the first place. HAHA. But I assure you, if the queue is only two hours, its worth the wait.
And beside = Hong Kong Pavilion! Didn’t manage to visit both.
I really liked the aerial design on the India Pavilion. The crowd was overwhelming as well so we didn’t visit it too.
Tried this ice-cream just because of lzx. It wasn’t awful but not nice either.
It warns: Queuing time for the Germany Pavilion is 5 hours. F-I-V-E. No kidding.
I love how the Korea Pavilion looks. Colourful and all!
It turns us off! We’ll never win the locals when it comes to queuing. Zzz. Packed like sardines!
This photo reminds me that I’ve yet to try these biscuits! :)) And I realise alot of the local brand products are endorsed by artistes!
&& One last photo..
G’night!!!! I took afew hours to complete this entry! Mad exhausted!
Holidays are bliss!

It feels like its been quite awhile since I last blogged. I feel lost, like detached to my blog. And I don’t know what to blog.
I’m glad some of you still visits anna.my! Because I’m back to my daily updates, as often as possible, as much as I can manage! :D so visit me whenever you’re on alright!
That aside, I’m gonna write about my much procrastinated China trip earlier this month! Hehe, finally, before June comes to an end.
This was the mode of transport we took when we were at the airport. Its something like our MRT train but this particular type of train travels via magnetic forces.. LOOK AT THE SPEED.
Its called the “MagLev” Train, so basically it travels by magnetic levitation and thus there is hardly any friction between the train and the rails, thus the SPEED. :D Thats what I understand about it, correct me if I’m wrong!
Presenting to you.. The Shanghai World Expo 2010 Mascot! Its called 海宝!! Such a cute name right, in direct translation, it means “Water Baby”. I totally adore it, though I agree with my brothers there’s absolutely nothing very captivating about this blue thing over here.
But anyway throughout my 9 days over @ China, I see this mascot EVERYWHERE I go, no joke, everywhere. I’d still crazily and excitedly tell someone about it but my younger brother never fails to dim me shut and ask me to stop rambling about this stupid-blue-thing. HAHA. He hates it to the core.
This was first on our itinerary immediately after lunch. I think we were at Hang Zhou. We took a little cruise along the 西湖 “west lake”, I think. Apparently I learnt that it was an artifical man-made lake that was dug long long ago..
Afterwhich, it was to this pagoda-like building. The middle photo is the name of this pagoda.
The middle pictures at both sides are the sculptures found inside. They are really impressively nicely carved, to the finest details.
Afterwhich we also visited this 西湖。新天地 place. A really westernised tourist attraction. And why do I say westernized? They have Starbucks, Haagen-Dazs, Costa Coffee, etc.
Its situated along a lake..a PLUS point :D
From what I can remember, thats our day one. Super tiring one because it was a mid-night flight, meaning when we reached, it was time to travel around! Its those times that I really loved going back to the hotel, drop dead on bed and slack for abit before bathing and sleeping early. BLISSS♥♥♥.
If you needed a reason to love yourself.. I’d give you aplenty to! :D
& I hope this brightens up your day. Because all these sweet little photos did brighten up mine! ♥
(I’d continue with the rest of the days! Now that I’ve gotten the full collection of photos, I pretty much don’t know where to start..because, I simply have toooo many photos!)
http://Anna.my !

When I have the time, I’ll revamp ANNA.MY a little with a new banner and a little changes here and there.
and, i just realised my tagboard didn’t work since i put them back. if any of you tried and couldn’t tag, my apologies! :((( is that why my tagboard is stagnant? or is it because no one really bother tagging at all. :((((( BUT BUT, its UP now thanks to my beloved brother, yay!

Make up: Once you start, you’ll never want to stop.
Jun 18th
Did you try guessing what I was going to blog about?
You might have thought of the Pringles potato chips slogan: Once you pop, you can’t stop!
But.. Sorry we’re not gonna talk about FOOD today!
I thought about a question my friends often pop and ask. And thats about – MAKE UP.
*i need to clarify, i’m no make up guru, and what i know about make up is really mediocre. comparing myself with many other girls out there, i’m no where near.*
Many often asks:
- Do I make up when I go out all the time?
- Why do I bother making up, isn’t it much of a hassle? If so, why am I hell-bent on doing it? (Since I started, I’ve always made an effort, to spend more time dolling myself up before I meet my friends. :) )
- Is making up difficult?
My answers would always be the same.
Firstly, yes, I make up almost everytime I go out to meet friends/family dinners. (But I can also be the messiest person you’ve ever seen when you see me outside for breakfast at 8am)
Make up is a hassle, but, once YOU see the effects, you will continue putting in efforts. haha! To reiterate the title of my entry – once you start, you’ll never want to stop.
I think cosmetics are the best invention ever on mother Earth, which girls are always willing to splurge on! (as long as we can afford) If you really really ‘make up’, it can conceal every single flaw you have.
Anyway, my point is, like what the chinese saying goes, there are no ugly women on earth, there are only lazy women. 世界上没有丑女人,只有懒女人。 So if you put in some effort, even a self-assumed ugly duckling, can become a graceful swan! :D
More importantly, I’m a living proof that it doesnt take long to make up.
If I’m in a rush, probably 10-15 minutes would be sufficient. I’d complete my face starting with toner, moisturizer, SUNBLOCKKK!!!!, foundation, powder then eye make up. I do very simple make up with eye liners, mascaras and sometimes I even do without eyeshadows!
So girls, NO TIME is an excuse not to make yourself more presentableeeee!
You might have seen too many of those youtube videos, that show the extreme transition before and after a lady makes up. From a bare face (which I think looks really scary), to a really really HOT CHIC!! I would describe it as ‘miraculous’. Its like within 10 minutes, their looks miraculously changed, totally.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDleBaX6MG4 – Might be a good video to show you. But it doesn’t allow embedding so apologies you gotta click it to see!
In order to prove to you that all these are not all for the purpose of commercializing cosmetics and they are the very realistic truth, I shall sacrifice and show you two different photos of me, with and without make up. PLEASEEEE keep them safe on my webbie okay. -_-” I couldn’t stand looking at the photo twice, of myself, without make up. hahaa!
Loook at the difference. You might not be convinced because I’ve already tried to find the bestestest photo of myself without make up. (I usually don’t take photos when I have a bare face!)
Focus on the eyes area because thats where primarily my cosmetics worked on. I think it makes my eyes look more refined and clear.
I could still remember an incident whereby I was unduly prepared to meet anyone I know. But under unforeseen circumstances, I ended up having lunch in SP with my Mom, aunt and cousin, AND of all days, I had to meet my BBB in school because there was CCA showcase and she was there to help out. Her first reaction was ‘B you never make up‘ HAHA, that was epic. And I heard from her that, one of her friend who knew my existence asked her ‘Why are my eyes so small today?’.
It was another lesson learnt and I’ll always remember that. *image is important. first impression is the mostmost important*
Actually I took a photo of me in that same attire before I started making up, but when I put both the photos together, I look horrendous.
so I had to soft focus the part of me without make up because..I really couldn’t show you such an ugly photo of me..
And.. If you wonder, Why/How did I pick up making up?
At home, my mommy is one who makes up and dolls herself up. She constantly reminds and teaches me that woman (as a married woman) must always dress up to her best all the time, to look good, because that reflects well on your partner/husband. This is a lesson to be learnt by every girl/lady/woman!!!
I see her efforts everyday. Even when we go to the hawkers in our neighbourhood, she’ll be equipped, all dressed up with make up. But but..it doesn’t take extreme make up to look good, and she don’t do exaggerating make up too!
In my earlier days, she constantly nags me and calls me a lazy woman (懒女人) and I really admit. -_____-
But I pick up the habit slowly and I realised the wonders cosmetics can do, and now, I’m like every other girl who’ve tried make up, and will never stop using them! This is also what I told my friends – once you see the effects, you wouldn’t dare go out with a bare face. HAHA!
