Hello Kitty debit card! ♥♥

Calling Hello Kitty lovers!!

You might have seen my HK card already if you’re following me on Twitter/FB/Path! (& OHHH side track a little, i LOVEEEE path !! Awesome app! I’m hoping more of my close friends would use it!!!)’

Anyway.

This unique Hello Kitty debit card is available in all Hong Leong Banks in Malaysia currently! Sadly, yes, only in Malaysia! (No I’m not advertising, just informing all HK-lovers alike me if you’re unaware!)

I’ve seen the adverts for the longest of time and I asked my parents for the card immediately. & Finally finally, in 2012, I got the time to go down to the bank with my I/C to open an account!

Soooooooo happy that I got it! :DD

photo (2)

This is the card I actually got. According to the bank personnel, she told me that this is a Limited Edition one and you have to deposit a certain amount in order to get this!! I think they introduced this card because of the coming Chinese New Year! :)))

So..even though I’m a pink lover, I gave in to the *LIMITED EDITION*.

photo (1)

But I think this card is very pretty too!!! I love the pink and the hearts! AWWWW. Actually I wished I could have both cards. *GREEDY* lol. Anyway, to get this card, you only have to deposit at least RM210.

SO hurryyy go get your hello kitty card because its toooo cute to resist! ♥♥

Chingay 2011 – The JB thing!

Chingay in JB, is on the 21st of the Lunar New Year, according to the Lunar Calendar. Its like the chingay in S’pore, except that its more religion-based; and in chinese its called ‘you shen’. It means that we bring the Gods around town for a ‘tour’, to bless the whole JB town!

Its a family thing, for my family and I! Every year we’d go and join Chingay and walk the whole town :))). (I missed Chingay last year due to my school’s annual dinner and dance!)

Before you curse and swear at my ugly and blurry photos, I declare first. My camera is lousy and/or I’m a lousy camera person. >: 90% (I bet) of my photos are all blur!!!! :< :<

And I detest all the super heavy duty spot lights!!! They prevent me from taking photos!

Happy Merdeka 2010!

Here comes another celebration!

Its the 31st of August!

HAPPY 53TH BIRTHDAY MALAYSIA!

800px-Flag_of_Malaysia.svg

As far as I remember, Merdeka day had always fell on Weekends or at least the Fridays, so I could always enjoy the myriad of fireworks just outside my window at home in JB.

But this year, since it falls on a Monday, a schooling day, I’m unable to admire it this year.. Awwww.

I can’t even hear fireworks; so unlike the entry I penned down two years back.

:)

Nevertheless,

I wish for a safer country for my family and I to live in! (My main concern!) I hate to live in fear, and in fear of my family member’s safety.

& Of course a more prosperous country!! :D

p.s.: can I request for faster internet too? :P not too greedy am i?

Once again,

HAPPY MERDEKA, MALAYSIA!

(Merdeka basically means Independence day! :D )

Adventures @ China!

I AM BACK AGAIN! :D

This post will be mad full with photos, from China! Butbut, they are not in any chronological order because by now I’ve forgotten all the littlest details. Like which place did we travel first, and later, etc.

The tourist attraction we went!!

I have to say, this is one of the best attraction we went to. Not purely because I’m a Buddhist, but because it was really worth your time, worth your sweat climbing nearer to the Buddha’s statue. And not forgetting, I’m so proud to be a Buddhist! The following photos will tell.

The name of the Buddha♥

This is the magnificent Buddha statue, standing at 180m tall, if I'm not wrong!

The steps I mentioned, worth your sweat and perspiration. (:

A close up photo!

You see tiny little humans slightly above the lotus? Thats the closest we could go – to touch the Buddha’s feets. Like the Chinese saying goes “凌时抱佛脚”. haaa!

In order to enter the world's most magnificent(!!!) temple..

Yessss, they had to protect the temple, so we had to wear protective shoe covers!!! BUT IT WAS WORTH IT AS WELL. Because I’ve never seen a temple more magnificent, more luxurious, more majestic, more impressive, and I could go on and on.. I’ve always visited churches which are outstanding, nice and all, but not temples, and this is my FIRST. It beats all the temples I’ve visited hands down.

One part of the ceiling.

Colourful little Buddha statue.

I’m still in the midst of figuring out how to show you the temple because I took an overall video of the inside. It’d be too exhausting to capture every area of the temple using photos! I’d need hundreds of photos to show you them all. HEHE.

The outside of the temple!

My lovely parents & I!

A better view of the whole area

The birth of Buddha!!

This is the lotus that depicts how Buddha was born!

Buddha is born!

see how the lotus opens up?

*My apologies I have 0 intentions to publicise my religion on my blog but I have to show you what I find really impressive. I hope its an eye-opener to you too! The temple was only completed in the recent years because the last time I was here, it wasn’t existent yet.*

I did a jump shot infront of Buddha's palm. lol!

How the palm looks like!

Some really random photos up next!

If only I could bring it back...

Its a Hello Kitty storage box! They have HK all overrrr, I want!!!

JUMBO XXL WANGWANGs.

Then our first day @ the Shanghai World Expo 2010!!!

Australia Pavilion, like what it reads.

Singapore Pavilion!

I’m still pissed at myself for forgetting to give this pavilion a visit! Now I wonder whats inside…

Malaysia Pavilion! Really got the 'feeeel'.

And yes, we visited this pavilion because we didn’t need to queue!!! *flashes Malaysia passport*

Guess what?

YESS, China!

None other than the formidable China Pavilion!!

A better one!

WE WERE HAPPY.

Because we thought we could omit all the queuing as we were told we managed to ‘reserve/book’ to visit this China Pavilion. Express lane hor, see no queue behind one.

Turns out that, there's another queue inside!

Look at the crazy crowd. So apparently after you manage to ‘reserve’ a timing to visit this pavilion, you only omit the primary queue. There’s a secondary one waiting for you inside. And it took us nearly two hours to get in.

Lots of time to camwhore.

This is ME, cous, and cous-in-law. (:

A group photo (((((((:

After we came out!

A last glance @ China Pavilion!

If you’re wondering, I’d say China Pavilion was worth the 2-hours-queue. It was awe-inspiring inside, they showed the world what China could do. Thumbs up!! Its the best pavilion we visited. And also because we didn’t visit that many in the first place. HAHA. But I assure you, if the queue is only two hours, its worth the wait.

That rabbit: Macau Pavilion!

And beside = Hong Kong Pavilion! Didn’t manage to visit both.

India Pavilion and something else.

I really liked the aerial design on the India Pavilion. The crowd was overwhelming as well so we didn’t visit it too.

ice-cream endorsed by Luo Zhi Xiang and Angela Zhang!

Tried this ice-cream just because of lzx. It wasn’t awful but not nice either.

Notices at the start of the queue for Germany Pavilion

It warns: Queuing time for the Germany Pavilion is 5 hours. F-I-V-E. No kidding.

Korea Pavilion!

Again in closer up shot!

I love how the Korea Pavilion looks. Colourful and all!

One last photo!

It was crowded like this everywhere. Wherever there is a need to QUEUE.

It turns us off! We’ll never win the locals when it comes to queuing. Zzz. Packed like sardines!

SMILEEEEEEEEEEEEE :D

My favourite!

This photo reminds me that I’ve yet to try these biscuits! :)) And I realise alot of the local brand products are endorsed by artistes!

&& One last photo..

The famous Shanghai Pearl Tower..

G’night!!!! I took afew hours to complete this entry! Mad exhausted!

My Weekends Ice Kacang!

I finally caught the movie Ice Kacang Puppy Love on the screens before they were removed! *Phew* The problem with catching with my family is that there is a tendency that the movie date is procrastinated. Mommy don’t mind movies but Daddy doesn’t fancy, but Mommy wants to catch it together with Daddy. I hope you get what I’m try to say. But Finally on MayDay, I reserved the tickets online and yay, we really went! :) It was a pity Felix Ker had to stay indoors to catch up with his studies, so he didn’t joined us for it.

Movieee tixsss!

Alright…

I pretty enjoyed the movie. Although there were a few scenes that were really slow moving, and I wished that they could move on.. haha! Anyway, on the overall, I like the movie. I think its kinda sweet, and some of the scenes really tickles you! Could really hear the whole threatre roaring into hysterical laughter! And..the movie was presented in a very very authentic Malaysian accent, mostly by Ah Niu! I’m still pretty amused by that.. I feel that the movie portrays very real kampung lives in Malaysia, like the scenes around the Kelongs (a form of offshore platform built predominantly with wood, predominantly for fishing purposes). A very surreal scene that I believe still exist in many states in Malaysia. but hardly found in developed countries like Singapore.

this is a kelong!

if you don’t get what i’m describing….

I wonder if its still showing in cinemas in Singapore! As for Malaysia cinemas I think they are very likely removed from the screens already! So catch it if you still can! :]
