As the title suggests..

Happy 46th Birthday Singapore!

Many many many more great years to come!

Singapore is a place I’ve spent most of my life in; besides Malaysia. Looking back, I’ve been studying in Singapore since I was 7. 14 years have past, ever since. Its been more than a decade. Oh my! I feel so old.

Anyway, that also means I’ve been through Singapore’s birthday for 14 years as well; celebrating the nation’s birthday in school..

I’m thankful for the safe environment; for the education; for the friends I’ve made; for everything..

(Aside from typing all these, I’m more thankful to my parents, who made all these possible.. :D)

Thats all I have to share for now! Happy national day, everybody!

I’m gonna celebrate the nations birthday in a very special day tomorrow!

NUS Rag Day 2010!!!

6th August 2010 was a very special day in NUS! A really memorable day for many students. Its called ‘Rag Day’, in short for Receiving and Giving. On this day itself, all the different faculties/halls in NUS would present their float and a short performance to the judges.. & Why is it memorable? Because they’ve worked on it for months. Look at how spectacular the floats look! If you’re wondering what floats, its like those you see during Chingay performance! But of course the faculties and halls were allocated with a certain budget and they can do up their float in whatever manner they’d like it.

This year is a little more special, because Rag day is in conjunction with the YOG torch lighting ceremony (?)..

Really glad I made a trip down to NUS to catch Rag day! :] I love the floats! I was mad impressed.

Yessss, they are actually balloons! So pretty eh! :D They were released to start off Rag Day 2010!

There was a screen that telecasted the performance because basically only the judges & some VIPs in the grand stand can see the performance at the best angle.. We all had to look at the screens or admire from far.

Science float!! Not because I’m from science, but our float is really nice! Alot of recycled materials were used too! This is not all for our float, but I didn’t manage to capture the other parts of our float :(

I’m a happy girl today!

Firstly, NUS Rag day was awesome. I didn’t regret going to NUS from JB just to look at the floats. My eyes had a sumptuous treat! All of them were beautiful.

My only regret was, I didn’t get to take photos of most of the hall’s floats because I left after faculty rag.

Anyway I’ll blog about Rag soon! :D

& Secondly, traffic back to JB was a BREEZE today. Thank god!! No traffic congestion at all. MAD LOVE!! Furthermore, around the time I came back today, the customs is usually madly congested.

(& Thirdly, I shopped again today!!)

As mentioned previously, I went on a little shopping trip with RY on Tuesday.

Since both of us wanted a sweet treat, we went to Gusttimo @ Ion Orchard to satisfy our ‘cravings’! I’d been wanting to try this ice cream parlour too, as it looked really pretty from the exterior!

& I like their ice cream there! I think its of good quality! :D Of course, its accompanied by a price, but I’d say still reasonable for a cafe @ Ion! :)

I ordered Dark Chocolate, Red Bean Green Tea (I think!) and Mixed Berry Yoghurt. LOVE THEM ALL! <3

You can actually try the flavours before you decide so yeap, no worries about choosing something you don;t like!

After nom-noms, its the usual thing girls usually do..

A wake up call

My last week of holidays are coming to an end. A wake up call to the end of all the freedom. Don’t wish to mention how time flies; I’ve done it a zillion times. This week (thus far) had been good and bad.

The awesome things I did are that I met up with my dearest girlies(!!!!) (finally & full attendance for dinner!), and RY to get some stuffs & we ended up shopping together, and then SALT movie preview. (Read my previous post for the review!)

More awesome events to come tomorrow is the NUS RAG DAY! :D I really hope its good. But I know Science Faculty’s floats are god-darn-PRETTAYEEEEEEEE. Mad love for their creative floats. *Kudos*

& gonna meet Shyan darling (FINALLLLY!!) on Saturday for more K-ing! :D (If all goes well!)

The not-so-good things are that bidding wasn’t successful yesterday. But thank god it was, today, for a unpopular(?) module I chose merely because its like the only better one that suits my timetable. But I’ll have a mad amazing race to different areas of the school (Science to somewhere else) every Tuesday because the lessons are all back to back.

OKAY, NUS BIDDING SYSTEM SUCKS. *I can grumble non-stop*

& I’m having a phobia for alcohol from now on. I’m not gonna mention what happened, but thats that. Nothing really bad happened, really. I just felt bad. haha.

simple days make me a happy girl!

Hello lovelies!! :)))))

I’ve been a happy girl today!!

The day started all well except that I was a little (just a little!) late according to the time I said I would be in NUS haha!

& why was I in school?

I was there to help out for R A G! (Google NUS RAG if you’re really curious what is it about, because I find it really hard to explain what is RAG all about!)

So glad at least 3 other members plus seniors were there down to help toooo, so I was really really entertained. HAHA! We had fun crapping, laughing at each other, etc. It was pure fun&joy while doing SOMETHING BIG! :D

I wanna go down for RAG again again!! >.>

AND. After RAGGING, I left for CCK Lot 1 to have dinner with Soo Wen and Wee Chang! Apologiessss I was late again! hahaha. It was a good catch up! HAHA! We couldn’t even remember the last time we met.. Tsk!

& Thank youuuuu WC again! :D:D:D

I finally got my loots from Cotton On which I’ve been eyeing since like two months ago. This is sooo terrible. From the time GSS started and now GSS is ending or have already ended! SO happy anyway!

Simple days spent with people who are worth it is the best! :D

Thanks to all who’ve comforted me in a way or another after they saw my previous emoemo entry. HEHE! LOVEYOUGUYS! ♥♥♥

Afterall..

And I’ll be alright after all that thunderstorm. ;)
