The movie is called  让子弹飞 in chinese.. is it a little more familiar now? Starring Chow Yun Fatt and Carina Lau!

To me, I thought that the movie was a little ‘chim’ and too intellectual for me, considering my chinese level. However, through out the slightly over 2 hours movie, there were a handful of jokes! And I’m glad I could catch some of them. BUT BUT, no worries, i think the problem lies in me, because the whole cinema was roaring with laughters!

Since’ I’m not cut for such movies, I didn’t totally enjoy it..

I’d give it a 3/5.

If you’re prepared to catch it when it shows, go ahead!! I’m sure it didn’t break the box office for nothing. HEHE!

Here’s the synopsis:

Set in China during the warring 1920s, the bandit Pocky Zhang (Jiang Wen) enters the remote Goose Town pretending to be their newly installed governor. Zhang is accompanied by Tang (Ge You). Zhang’s aim at this position is opposed by local mobster Huang (Chow Yun Fat) who lives in his fortified citadel overlooking the town. While Tang is aware of Huang’s previous financial arrangement with the town’s former governor, Zhang is not interested in sharing his wealth with a crook he finds to be as unworthy as himself.

It’ll be in the cinemas 31st March onwards! :D

I’ve been using them religiously almost everyday besides my daily skincare regime.. First time I’m so hardworking ehh!

I’m back I’m back!

I’m relieved and glad that my test is over! :>

Was on the way home and texting with my bestie, and decided to ask her out for dinner! YES! and so it became a movie date instead! :D

‘Coz I’d been wanting to watch it after hearing all the good reviews from my friends! :D

& I’m gonna pen down another one! :)

On the overall, I really like the show! It was one that kept me awake through out, no time to even close my eyes for an eye shut. Because I was frightened a couple of times and kinda jumped off the seat to my friend. HAHA. She claimed I’m scarier than the movie. .__.

Teehehe. But I think it was a really nice plot. I’d give it a 4/5 :D

Go catch it on the screens before its gone! Imho, worth the moolahs! ;)

I went to the Cathay cineplex in Causeway Point! Pretty disappointed with all the renovations, though it looks much better from the last time I saw. Hopefully it’ll all be revamped really soon! :D

You probably have not heard of this movie, but its gonna be exclusively shown in Shaw theatres (i think!) from the 13th of January onwards, which is next Thursday!

Actually, I’m not a person who likes such a movie. & I was confused half the time during the movie! If you’re a person who likes such political stuffs, this is the movie for you!

Anyway, after I came home from the movie, I decided to read the synopsis (above!) again, and I seem to be able to understand the movie  better. Abit slow.. HAHA! 

Oh well, I’d give the movie a 3/5. I guess its just not my type! :P

NARNIAAAAAA. Is one of my all time favourite ‘cartoon’ series!! Its a movie I will never miss! Caught the first two, long ago, and finally its the third one!

Well, comparing this to the previous two, I’d say this series is a tad boring at some parts! BUT, nonetheless, I still love it!! I’d give it a 3.8/5, because I compared.. Heh! Was able to stay awake through out!

If you missed the first two, you should really catch them online or watch from DVDs! They’re awesome!!

This is my favourite! Aslan, the lion! <3 Its super motherly all the time, in the show!!

Could still remember how little Lucy was in the first series.. Lion, Witch and the wardrobe.. HAHA :D

Its been awhile (okay, just a week) since I went to the theatres, and this time, I caught Rapunzel with Momsie and my aunt yesterday (Friday)!

I absolutely LOVEEEEEEEEEEE little Rapunzel!! But I couldn’t find pictures of her when she was young online. Super cute with huge watery eyes!

& Of course, how I wish I had Rapunzel’s ultra long and nice blond hair!! Keeps reminding me how chui and lousy my hair is.

I’d rate the movie 3/5, because there were some parts they just sang through the scenes. I’m not a really musical person in this sense.. But on the overall, a pleasant cartoon, I’d say! Momsie and aunt loves it though! :)))

Hello Stranger is a Thai romance-comedy!

(I seriously had no idea they conversed in Thai and we had to read the subtitles!)

BUT. No regrets!!! It was a really enjoyable movie! With the really humorous storyline injected with a tinge of romance, I’d say it was good.  IMHO, I would give it a 4/5! ;)

It was not all funny, parts of the movie were really saddening, especially the ending. F A T E. Nonetheless, it was still bitter sweet at the end. You gotta catch it to know!

Had a quick lunch before we went back to the interchange to catch 963 back to school!

Anyway! Headed to town(!!!!) with my girls after our paper & we caught a movie together! :D

Yes, its non-other than the movie, Bruce Lee, my brother!

It was basically a biopic of Bruce Lee’s life before he became a legend, based on the memoir written by his younger brother.

Honestly, I kind of like the movie!! (On the contrary, one of my girls said it was a lil draggy) It was a pretty long one though, 2h 9mins. I guess he’s one interesting person we would love to find out about. Since the story is based on the memoir, I have no idea how to describe the movie!! So if y’all love Bruce Lee’s movies, its another you shouldn’t miss! ;) It kinds of gives us a whole big picture of this man’s life. From his birth till the time he turned really famous. Shall not be a spoiler. Catch it okay!

I’d rate the movie a 4/5! Cos I really like it!!

& I didn’t fall asleep at all! :)))

I really like the main lead who portrayed as Bruce Lee. HE VERY HANDSUMMM LEY. (Then again, probably only to me. My girls don’t agree.)

He has very sharp features! Very nicee and sharp nose!!!

If you realised, I haven’t had movie reviews for the longest of times! :( And the last movie I actually caught before this was Legend of the Fist: The return of Chen Zhen. How sad. And I can’t even remember how long ago it was.

Its all because I’m loaded with school-related stuffs. After my tests ended, it was time to hand up assignment and project, so basically I had almost no rest in between that period, and now I’m back to the test period, before exams hit in less than a month’s time. FML.

The brighter side of everything is, I finally caught a movie I really wanted to, last Thursday. I realised I ought to squeeze out time from my busy schedule to enjoy a movie for the last time, before the final lap of school. & You might have guessed, its none other than Eat, Pray, Love!!! :D Yay, and thanks to JH who booked the tickets earlier in the day, else we might end up with no good seats hehehehe.

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee the movie! I think its great, though I fell asleep at the earlier parts, but towards the middle and ending, I was totally captivated. I like the story too.

Not forgetting, I love the beauty of Julia Roberts!!!! How can someone look so chio even when she doesn’t look heavily tainted with make up?! Madness, and she’s not as young already but still chio max!

I want her pretty genes!

During my December holidays, I’m so gonna get this book from popular and read it. I swear I must finish it during my holidays! I’m pretty sure the book would be AWESOMEEEEE because the movie already is! Whoooooooopeee. & for now, no more movie reviews until the end of exams.

Anyway, Thanks to Omy.sg and Shaw Organisations, I got the privilege of catching the Gala Premiere of Legend of the Fist: Return of Chen Zhen! :)))

& I brought RuoYan along!

We met up a little while before the movie time to have dinner!

We decided on going to Wheelock because it was just opposite The Shaw House. Easy to get over there! Walked around and finally decided to have our early dinner @ The Pasta Shop by Sakae! There wasn’t a single soul inside when we decided to step in. Lol!

This was what I ordered:

Spicy Soft Shell Crab Pasta! It was a little spicy for me. :/ I’ really can’t take spicy food!

& darling ordered Carbonara with Bacon and egg! She said its not bad!

Hehehehe. Those were our starters! Edamame and Potato Salad (half seen)! The potato salad was not bad too!

As I was itching for some sweet treats and Big O cafe (?) happened to have some afternoon tea promo until 6pm, we had a little rest at the pasta shop before hopping over to Big O for a piece of cake! :D

We shared this cute little heart shape cake! Mousse based with a little sponge in between! :)

While waiting for the movie… YES, sad uni life!!! We had to make use of the time to MUG!!! D:

& Finally, it was near the time for the movie and we walked over to Lido!

Excited I was as I waited for the start of the movie. DONNIE YEN!  ♥

Anyway. If you followed me on Twitter, you’d have known I absolutely enjoyed this movie!! Donnie Yen never failed to amaze me! ♥♥♥

The story was based on the China war times in the olden days.. & when the Japanese took over China. It was quite touching, in some of the parts! I shan’t disclose too much about the movie because YOU GUYS REALLY SHOULD CATCH IT! :D Its gonna be shown in the theatres TOMORROW ONWARDS!!!

&.&.&. Donnie Yen has an ULTRA GOOD BOD!!!♥ I swear. You gotta catch it yourself, seriously! ;) *Drools*

Haha. The only pity was I had the Ip Man feeling in Chen Zhen. It felt like I was watching another Ip Man sequel, but of course, NAHHH. They are all based on different stories. Its just that the fighting scenes brings me back to think of Ip Man! Teeheee.

Okay, enough said. I hope you enjoy the movie as much as I did! :D

Just casually recalled something I heard over the TV about Donnie Yen when they were interviewing him and the team about the new show.

Shu Qi who was starring in the movie together with him said he’s a perfect man. In the sense that, he has very good control over what he eats (as an actor this is very important, I’m sure you agree), then every morning he’d wake up very early (5am or something?) to train his martial art skills, etc, AND he’s a very sweet husband to his wife.

So he actually inspired Shu Qi a fair bit especially on the control diet part.
